About the "Bee Happy" Collection
The "Bee Happy" floral print collection started as soon as the spring began to move from the long winter months, the days were becoming lighter and the flowers were beginning to awaken from their long winters sleep. Walks in the countryside began to feel good again and I marvelled at the countryside beauty around me. The first painting was "Bee Yellow"inspired by the vibrant fields of Oil Seed Rape, the little Bee's had started to come out to play and I just wanted to paint this beautiful yellow into a floral spring painting. Next came "Bee Blue" and "Bee Red"both of which were inspired by the fields near my home where the local farmer had planted strips of wild flower meadows, cornflowers and italian clover danced in the wind and really was a sight to behold filling me with feelings of comfort and joy. Lastly came "Bee Orange" I had Californian poppies in my garden last year, but sadly this time they didn't appear, I decided that the only way was to paint these beautiful orange flower delights to complete the series, I just love orange its such and optimistic colour and now I can now look at this vibrant and captivating print everyday on my wall and potentially so can you!
